Jordan Papandrea
Founder, Congruent Minds · Clinical Psychology Registrar
Twenty years inside elite sport, and a career now built on the psychology of performance. Jordan brings together years of clinical training and practice with the lived experience of competing at the highest level.
"You learn a lot about pressure long before you learn the psychology of it."
Twenty years in elite sport, before ever studying psychology.
Jordan's understanding of performance didn't start in a textbook — it started on the competition floor, across more than two decades in elite gymnastics.
That competitive career — the pressure, the setbacks, the major injuries and the moments that mattered — is what first drew Jordan toward psychology: a genuine interest in what allows people to access their ability under pressure, and what can get in the way. It's a question his later clinical training, and now Congruent Minds, was built to explore.
A career built across psychology, wellbeing and performance.
Jordan's experience spans clinical, educational, community and sporting settings. A snapshot of where that experience has been built:
"Most people already have the ability to perform, but struggle to access it under pressure. Performance isn't always about ability — it's about accessing it."
Jordan has sat in each of these seats — athlete, coach, psychologist, educator and leader. Together, these experiences shaped the perspective behind Congruent Minds: an understanding that performance and wellbeing are deeply connected.
